“I completed my first 11 days and shed 3 kilos. They promise 4 but it doesn’t matter, maybe my portions were slightly bigger than they should have been. I didn’t work out at all. During the 3day off period I couldn’t eat much because I had gotten used to eating small portions. They ask you to eat till the point you’re not totally full, therefore limiting calories.
The idiot proof idea seems to be that you don’t have to ‘drown’ in numbers and calorie count but eating and stopping before you’re full will do the job for your body. The 2 days of really low calories are the worst, but the remaining 9 are decent. I’ll stick to it because it’s easy to do.
For the diet generator there’s no option for foods containing sugar, bread potatoes or pasta so I guess most people will lose weight just by eliminating these foods. My question is whether their premise is right, the idea that shifting calories keeps the metabolism active and you lose weight more effectively. I will stick to it because, scientifically sound or not, it helped me quit my nasty eating habits and start losing weight by following a plan. They also offer a vegetarian option.”

“This diet is GREAT! I have never lost weight so fast in my life. I have tried so many diets and exercise plans and it gets discouraging when you don’t see the scale moving quick enough for all of the effort that you are putting into it.
I have been on this diet for 8 days and have lost a lb a day and I have not incorporated an exercise plan yet!!!! It is so encouraging to see the scale going down daily. It makes you want to continue through the monotony of the meals daily. After a while you get tired of eating.”

“I use this diet anytime I want to lose weight because I need a very structured regimen that tells me exactly what to eat. I love it because you get fast results and you don’t have to exercise, I just don’t like to and don’t have the time.
I did the idiot diet after my first son was born and lost 32 pounds in 3 1/2 months. It works great but you have to very committed and willing to give up sweets and greasy foods, and regular soda. I plan on doing it again for weight loss from my second pregnancy.”

“First of all I have read diet books and tried different ways of losing weight but I am the type of person that needs to have a menu in front of me to follow. Reading a book telling how to eat right isn’t enough.
This program gives you choices of what you want to eat and then generates a menu for you for 11 days. I am on my going on my 3rd week and have gone from 250lbs to 234lbs. which surprised me plus I feel great. I need to have a menu to follow or I’ll go stray. It works but you need to stick to it!!!”

Roughly a yr ago, I lost almost all my baby weight. Now 13 pounds lighter, I would like to drop another 12 pounds to achieve my college pounds. For the previous yr I have been faithfully walking 2 miles a day on the tread mill wearing a pounds vest. However , the scale wouldn’t move. So right after reaching a plateau, I decided it is time for the fresh plan. And with all the boasting about Nintendo wii Fit, perhaps it is time for a high tech approach to weight loss. Do you think this would most likely be a good approach? What do you feel I could do?
Well done to your weight loss efforts! You are definately on the right track and have the right attitude to continue to achieve more of your goals.
The thing with training is that you need to change things around every so often to shock the body. As you have found out, if you do the same thing over and over your body becomes acustomed to it and you end up hitting that plateau.
I think your idea of trying out the Nintendo Wii for extra exercise is a great idea. I have used it myself for fun and with the right game you can get a really good workout from it.
So I say go for it!
