What you need to do is start with having a look at how you are eating at present. What you eat, when you eat, how much you eat and even how you eat. Many people’s nutritional daily intake is far too poor for the body to even come close to burning any fat. They would spend hours in the gym on regular basis training to exhaustion hoping that it’s the answer to their lack of weight loss or fat loss. Of course, all exercise helps but if you are consuming fast foods, frying your meals, eating large amounts of candy, drinking too many sodas, etc then I doesn’t matter what you do in the gym.
After determining the nutritional needs your diet lacks, you can start to replace the unhealthy foods you usually reach for with healthy ones. A basic healthy diet consists of a variety of foods with carbohydrates, proteins, fats and water. All the basic food groups.

Here are a few additional tips to set you on your way:
- Get your mindset in order: Any change in your lifestyle will be made much easier if you can get the right kind of motivation. This could mean support from friends and family.Eat predominantly nutrient-dense foods: Choose foods that have a lot of nutrition per calorie such as vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, fruits, whole grains, and lean animal proteins. Vitamins and minerals are vital.
Antioxidants: These are the body’s fighters of those damaging chemicals that tax our system and cause illness. You can find these in good vitamin pills or foods such as berries, melons and dark green leafy vegetables.
Get your Omega-3s: These are GOOD fats that improve mood, memory, and thinking. Omega-3s are found in fish, flax seeds, flax oil, hemp seeds, hemp oil, leafy greens and walnuts.
You must have a breakfast: If you want to get the body started early burning fat you have to get used to eating breakfast. Try fresh fruit, whole grains, hot or cold cereal with nuts/seeds.
Water: Drink lots of it if you want to help your body in the fat burning process. Keep a fresh and ready source of water by you at all times, and sip at least 1 cup every 2 hours.
Reward yourself: The nutritional diet change will be a gradual process and as you begin changing your bad nutritional habits, don’t forget to reward yourself for your successes. This will serve to reinforce your new habits.
Start by trying some of these changes out and do it gradually. You will find that once the change has been implemented your body will be more tuned for burning fat and if there is a big change from your old food intake then you will notice a drop in fat fairly quickly.
